All About Bruna
I grew up in Seattle, WA, and have always been passionate about art, poetry, and storytelling. As an artist, poet, and children’s book author, I strive to create meaningful stories that inspire young readers.
Jovie Loses Her Favorite Ball is the first in a series of Jovie books, designed to teach children resilience, gratitude, perseverance, and the power of perspective—values I wish I had learned earlier in life.
I hold a degree in Political Science and Art History and started my career as a Head Start teacher, working closely with young children. Although much of my professional journey was spent as a technical recruiter in big tech companies, my lifelong passion has always been to give back to children through art, literature, and poetry.
Leaving the corporate world was a big risk, but it was one worth taking. My only hope is that my books make a meaningful difference in a child’s life. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed writing them!
